Using Uselyt
These terms apply to the Uselyt iOS app, its account and optional photo-analysis services, and the Uselyt website. The provider is Nateetorn Chawana, contactable at support@uselyt.app. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using it. You must be at least 13 and meet any higher minimum age and consent requirements that apply in your location.
Uselyt is a native iPhone app for iOS 17 or later, with an English interface. Interactive website examples let you explore product memories without accessing a personal shelf.
A memory for products you try
Uselyt helps you capture a product, record a purchase or usage lifecycle, add a check-in, finish a run, and remember your own verdict. Repeat purchases can have separate runs and dates. Favorites and Buy Again, Maybe, or Never Again decisions reflect your personal experience rather than an independent rating of a product.
Insights describe information you have recorded. Missing dates, incomplete history, or inaccurate entries can affect them. Estimates, including usual-finish reminders, are derived from your history and are not guarantees of how long a product will last.
Accounts and access
A local guest shelf does not require an account. Account features use Sign in with Apple. Keep your Apple Account and device secure, provide accurate profile information, and use only an account you are authorized to access. Apple’s services are governed by Apple’s applicable terms as well.
Account sessions can expire or require you to authenticate again. An initial profile may have no display name if Apple does not supply one; you can set one later. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We may temporarily restrict an account or endpoint where reasonably necessary to protect users or address misuse.
Your content and local storage
You retain your rights in the photos, notes, and other content you add. You are responsible for having the right to use it and for its accuracy. You give Uselyt the limited permission needed to store, display, and process your content for the features you choose. This does not transfer ownership of your content or grant permission to use your private shelf in advertising.
Product records, saved photos, drafts, personal notes, and reminder state are stored on your iPhone. Guest and account shelves are separate. An account is not cloud backup, and signing in does not upload or merge a shelf. The explicit guest-import action copies a guest shelf only into an empty account shelf and retains the guest copy.
You are responsible for protecting your device and deciding whether to use iOS device backup. Local products do not synchronise to a cloud or web shelf, and Uselyt cannot recover records held only on your device. Device loss, app removal, a shelf reset, or account deletion can result in the loss of local content. Keep independent copies of information you need to retain.
Photo analysis and your review
Analyze photo is optional and requires an account. If you confirm the sharing prompt, you authorize sending the selected JPEG, including visible text, through Uselyt’s Cloudflare service to OpenAI’s GPT-4.1 mini for suggestions. Uselyt does not persist the analyzed photo or result in its server database or object storage. Provider processing and retention are explained in the Privacy Policy. Manual capture remains available.
The output can misidentify a product, misread or omit ingredients, infer the wrong size or category, and misinterpret visible packaging condition. Verify it against the actual label. Review and edit suggestions before applying them to a draft; a separate save persists the product. Analysis does not certify allergens, safety, suitability, freshness, or the precise volume remaining.
Uselyt is a personal recording tool. It does not provide medical or other professional advice or guarantee a product’s performance. Follow manufacturer instructions and seek qualified advice when a health or safety decision requires it.
Analysis limits and service use
The current photo-analysis limit is 20 attempts per account per UTC day. A UTC day resets at midnight UTC, which can be a different local time where you live. A valid reserved request may count even if the provider subsequently fails. We may change limits with appropriate notice where required. The app will show relevant availability or limit errors.
Do not bypass usage limits, automate abusive requests, interfere with the service, evade authentication, attempt unauthorized access, upload unlawful content, or infringe others’ rights. We may investigate abuse and restrict affected access proportionately. If you believe access was restricted in error, contact support.
Uselyt Plus and billing
Where offered in the app, Uselyt Plus is an optional auto-renewable monthly subscription for deeper category comparisons, lifespan ranges and CSV or JSON history exports. The US price is US$2.99 per month. Other storefronts display their local price before confirmation. There is no free trial in the current plan. Your free shelf, manual capture, notes, search, run history, basic insights and local reminders remain available without Plus. Plus does not add cloud backup, product sync, remote push notifications or additional photo-analysis entitlement.
Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The monthly subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel in your App Store subscription settings. Cancellation keeps eligible Plus access through the paid period; expiry, refund or revocation can end access. Billing issues and Apple’s applicable grace-period rules may affect access. Apple controls payment processing, cancellation and applicable refund requests; mandatory consumer rights remain available.
Sign in before buying or restoring. Use the same Uselyt Apple sign-in identity and the Apple Account used for the purchase to restore eligible access. Subscriptions are kept with their original billing identity and are not automatically transferred to another person’s Uselyt account. Account deletion, sign-out or app removal does not cancel Apple billing. After recreating an account with the same Apple sign-in identity, use Restore purchases; contact support if restoration fails.
Exports are copies you save to a destination you choose. They contain records and notes, not photos or drafts, and do not provide a cloud backup or an import service. The destination provider’s terms apply. Exported copies remain independent of Uselyt account deletion.
Local reminders
Local reminders are optional, off by default for each shelf, and require iOS permission. Their timing depends on the data you record and iPhone notification settings. Delivery can be affected by Focus, system settings, device state, or changes to a product’s run. They are prompts to revisit your record, not time-critical safety alerts.
Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. They do not require a cloud notification service.
Website preferences and external links
You can reduce website animation through or your device’s reduced-motion setting. A preference is stored in the browser only after an explicit save and can be cleared. The Cookies & website preferences page explains that storage and possible Cloudflare security cookies.
Links to Apple, Cloudflare, OpenAI, and other external resources take you to services governed by their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control those sites or guarantee their continued availability. Product and provider names do not imply endorsement of Uselyt.
Privacy and support
The Privacy Policy describes account information, optional image sharing, local storage, service providers, retention, and your choices. It forms part of the information you should read before using account or analysis features. The Support page explains common account, shelf, and reminder questions.
Only send information needed to explain a support issue. Do not send passwords or private credentials. Support is provided by email; no response time, emergency service, or recovery of device-only content is guaranteed.
Availability and changes
We aim to operate a useful service, but account, sign-in, and analysis features depend on networks and external providers and can be interrupted. Analysis can fail or be unavailable without preventing manual capture. We may maintain, improve, change, or discontinue features, subject to any notice and rights required by applicable law.
Paid features are available only where a working purchase option is shown in the app. Pricing and renewal conditions appear before you buy. Purchases are completed in the app through Apple; this website does not process payments.
Signing out and deleting an account
You may stop using Uselyt at any time. Signing out returns to the guest shelf and retains that account’s local shelf. Clearing a shelf removes local memories without deleting the server account. Account deletion in You requests revocation of Uselyt’s Apple authorization, deletes the server profile and associated records, and removes that account’s shelf from the current iPhone.
If server deletion fails, you can retry. If server deletion succeeds but local file removal fails, a cleanup request is retained and can be retried in Privacy & data. A separate guest shelf and copies on other devices are not remotely erased. Revoking Apple access separately does not by itself request deletion of a Uselyt account.
We may end or suspend service access for serious misuse or where legally required. We will provide notice and a chance to resolve the issue where appropriate and required by law.
Software and intellectual property
The Uselyt software, website design, and brand assets are owned by the provider or its licensors. You receive a limited permission to use them for their intended personal purpose, subject to these terms and any applicable platform terms. You do not acquire ownership of the software or permission to redistribute the brand as your own.
Do not copy or exploit the service in ways that infringe protected rights. This does not restrict activities or rights that applicable law allows and that cannot be excluded by contract. Product labels, photographs owned by others, and third-party trademarks remain subject to their respective owners’ rights.
Responsibility and legal protections
We do not promise uninterrupted availability, flawless suggestions, or recovery of all local data. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is offered as available without additional guarantees beyond those required by law. Use reasonable care when entering data and making decisions based on it.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights, remedies, warranties, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections. Responsibility for loss or damage is determined under applicable law. These terms do not require you to waive claims for fraud, deliberate misconduct, or other non-excludable liability.
Questions and disputes
If a problem arises, email support@uselyt.app with enough detail for us to investigate. We will try to resolve it fairly. You remain entitled to contact a relevant regulator or use any legal remedy available to you.
Applicable law and courts with lawful jurisdiction govern disputes. These terms do not impose an exclusive foreign court, mandatory arbitration, or a governing-law choice that removes mandatory protections in your location. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remainder applies to the extent allowed by law.
Updates and contact
We may update these terms as the product changes. Revised terms will appear here with an updated effective date. Where a material change requires notice or consent, we will provide it as required by applicable law. If you do not accept revised terms, you can stop using the service and request account deletion.
