Talk to the person behind Uselyt
Uselyt is provided by Nateetorn Chawana. For app questions, privacy requests, or ideas, email support@uselyt.app. The category links above open a draft in your email app. You review and send it yourself; this page does not submit a form or subscribe you to a mailing list.
To help explain a technical issue, include the app version, your iOS version, what you expected, what happened, and whether you were using a guest or account shelf. A redacted screenshot can help. Please do not send passwords, sign-in codes, private credentials, or unrelated personal photos. No response-time promise is made.
For a suspected security issue, use Security report. Describe the problem without including another person’s information or attempting unauthorized access.
Which iPhones can use Uselyt?
Uselyt is a native iPhone app for iOS 17 or later, with an English interface. Keep your iPhone’s software up to date for the latest system improvements and compatibility.
If you have a compatibility question, contact support with your iPhone model and iOS version. That context helps us understand the device you are using.
Do I need an account?
You can keep a local guest shelf and add products manually without an account. Account features use Sign in with Apple. Optional Analyze photo requires an account and a separate sharing confirmation for the selected photo.
Signing in does not upload your products. Guest and account shelves are separate. Signing out returns you to the guest shelf and retains the account shelf on that iPhone.
Where did my guest products go after signing in?
Your guest shelf stays separate from the account shelf. In You, open Privacy & data to use the explicit guest-import option when the account shelf is empty. The action copies the guest products and keeps the original guest copy.
Import is not automatic and does not combine two populated shelves. If the account shelf already contains products, keep the shelves separate. Support cannot merge device-only shelves remotely.
Are my products backed up or synced?
Your saved products, photos, drafts, and notes stay on the iPhone. Your product shelf does not synchronise to a Uselyt cloud backup or web shelf. An Apple sign-in account does not change that.
Your iOS device-backup settings are separate and may include local app data. We cannot recover a shelf that exists only on a lost device or has been erased. Before deleting the app, clearing a shelf, or deleting an account, consider whether you need to preserve information elsewhere.
What happens when I choose Analyze photo?
The app asks you to confirm before the selected JPEG and its visible text go through Uselyt’s Cloudflare service to OpenAI’s GPT-4.1 mini. It suggests product details you can review and edit. Applying suggestions changes a draft; a separate Save action stores the product locally.
Uselyt does not persist the uploaded photo or result in its server database or object storage. OpenAI’s separate provider retention can still apply. Read Optional photo analysis for the full explanation. Manual capture remains available when you decline analysis or it cannot complete.
Suggestions can be wrong or incomplete, particularly label text, ingredients, size, and packaging observations. Verify the actual product label. Analysis does not certify allergy suitability, safety, freshness, or remaining volume.
Why did photo analysis reach its limit?
The current limit is 20 attempts per account per UTC day. It resets at midnight UTC rather than local midnight. A request can consume an attempt after it has been reserved, even if the provider later fails.
You can continue to capture and edit a product manually. If analysis is unavailable, keep the draft, check your connection and account state, and retry when the app permits it. Repeated retries are not a way to bypass the daily limit.
How do I change my profile or sign in again?
Open You or the account menu, then Your profile to edit your display name. A profile may initially show Your account when Apple supplied no name; this does not mean the account belongs to someone else. An edited display name must not be blank.
Sign-in depends on Apple and the account service. If a session expires or an authorization fails, follow the app’s sign-in prompt and start a fresh Apple confirmation. Apple controls the email and Hide My Email address associated with the authorization. Uselyt support does not need your Apple password.
How do I delete an account or clear a shelf?
To delete an account, open You and choose Delete account. The app requests Apple authorization revocation, removes the server account and associated records, then removes that account’s products, photos, and drafts from the current iPhone. A guest shelf and copies on other devices remain separate.
If server deletion fails, retry from the app. If the account is deleted but local files could not be removed, open Privacy & data and use the pending-cleanup retry. This durable request is retained so local cleanup can be completed.
To remove the current shelf without deleting the account, open App settings and choose Clear my shelf. Signing out, clearing a shelf, revoking Apple access, and deleting an account are different actions. If you cannot reach the account controls, request deletion help by email. We may need proportionate information to verify the account.
Why am I not receiving reminders?
Local reminders start off for each shelf. Open You, then Reminders, enable Reminders on this iPhone, and allow notifications in the iOS prompt. If permission is denied, use the link to iPhone Settings. Focus and notification-delivery settings can affect when you see a reminder.
Reminder eligibility depends on your recorded history. The first-check-in reminder is based on a started run. A usual-finish estimate needs at least three valid dated completed runs of the same product. Food & drink are excluded unless you enable them. Completing a check-in, finishing or deleting a product, clearing a shelf, or switching shelves can cancel an obsolete reminder.
Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone and work offline. A reminder is a prompt to revisit your experience and should not be used as a safety deadline.
Can I reduce website animation?
Yes. The website honors your system’s reduced-motion setting. Open to choose Reduced motion and save it for this browser. You can reset the preference at any time.
The saved setting is optional local storage and is not an advertising or analytics identifier. Details are on Cookies & website preferences. If your browser blocks storage, the website remains readable but may not remember the choice.
How do I make a privacy request?
Email support@uselyt.app with the request and the account involved. Depending on applicable law, you may be entitled to access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent. We may ask for proportionate verification and will respond within the applicable legal period.
The Privacy Policy explains information handling and retention. The Terms of Use explain use of the service. We cannot directly retrieve records stored only on your iPhone.
